INFO Information about Redstone and Hoppers

    I feel like that's something that can be configured, given the capabilities the server's custom plugins seem to have. Still working on a way around it. 4x speed shulker unloader was a pain in the butt, however, I'm 99% certain it will work in purple world, now. But this hoppercart business has not made things easy...

    Wanted to give an update. I've worked around the 2x speed sorter issue using waterstreams, so the hoppercarts interact with the items dropped in the world properly but not with inventories above them (without a rail underneath). Still an issue for other systems I've been developing. Did notice a strange quirk: the hoppercart without a rail switches to working properly when a player is within a 1 block radius of it. Tested with other entities(other minecarts, armor stands, chickens). Nothing worked but me, which is not ideal, for obvious reasons.

    Twould appear hoppercart ear (entity activation range) is one block, the minimum, not much you can do about this I'm afraid, except stand in the very middle....

    Right. But this is exclusively a purple world thing, and therefore should be configurable by Apple/Admins. This behavior is not seen in green world or any singleplayer world.

    Can I remind everyone to use water streams or dropper pipes WHENEVER POSSIBLE. Because they're faster. And equally or less laggy than empty hoppers.

    Besides most hopper lag is from mass silos of multiple items. Like AFK fish farms with a continual chain of chests and hoppers for output

    Dropper lines for most situations. Droppers cause 0 lag and transit systems can be wired up with just observers and powered/activator rails, causing 0 lighting updates, as well. Water streams have the disadvantage that the items tend to clump up a bit before they're sent. Dropper lines move each item individually and also at 2x hopper speed.
