I use an Xbox One controller when playing MC Java because I’m used to playing MC on a console. Anyone else using a controller? If so, do you have a preferred method to toggle crouch? On console you could just set the button to do so, but I haven’t been able to figure it out on the PC....

On my Steam controller, toggle crouch was always on my "left grip" button.
On the mc on xbox, if I remember correctly, default crouch was just holding B and wasn't really toggleable, however when playing any game on an xbox controller, my default instinct when trying to crouch would be to click the right thumb stick in.
Sprint on xbox mc controls is clicking the left thumb stick, so having toggle crouch bound to the right one would "feel right" to my hands.

No idea if this is helpful or just me rambling, but there u go :)

I'm sorry, I don't know what this means...
It's about the same on the Xbox One controller, left thumbstick pushed in like a button crouches, but isn't toggleable like it is on the PS4 or that actual Xbox One.

Its a joke. On a keyboard you would put a brick on your crouch key

I don't think java has an inbuilt toggle crouch feature, really unsure. Something like optifine or a PvP mod may add the functionality to bind it to something and then you could just bind it to a controller input.

I have some other mod that’s supposed to bind it, but it just flat out doesn’t work. I’ve got optifine, I’ll take a look :)
