    Hello there!
I've been on Blue for a few weeks only and I was wondering: how does one gather up villagers?

    I mean..
    1) every village I come across is already claimed (and have few survivors anyway)
    2) monster spawn is extremely low, so I rarely see zombies, let alone zombie villagers (haven't seen any on Blue)
so where do you get villagers? from special event items? eggs? spawners? I'm lost...
I just want to build a tiny village with a few people in it (not even build a giant breeder/farm, I wouldn't know where to get them)
So yeah... how do you get villagers?

    Thanks in advance!

how most people start is by finding a village or another player that owns a breeder, then laying rails and taking 2 villagers through the nether to their own base and making a breeder from there.

horizontal distance travelled in the nether vs the overworld is an 8:1 ratio, so when moving any mobs long distance, travelling via the nether is preferable as it considerably reduces the # of blocks you need to traverse.

most of the larger towns on blue world have villager breeders, perhaps try to find out which one's coordinates are closest to your base and then ask the mayor or mayors of the town if you may do this.

good luck on your quest for villagers, I wish you all the success!

Dk it is a 80:1 block ratio 1 block in the nether = 80 blocks in overworld

excerpt from the Mojang endorsed guide:

"Locations in the Nether correlate to Overworld coordinates, but horizontal Overworld distances are scaled down by a ratio of 8:1 for travel in the Nether. Therefore, traveling one block in the Nether means traveling eight blocks in the Overworld. For example, in a perfect scenario, if the player builds and enters a portal in the Overworld at x:0, z:0, travels to x:1000, z:1000 in the Nether, then returns to the Overworld, they will be at x:8000, z:8000. This makes portals a useful tool for traveling very long distances in the Overworld."

if only nick! 80:1 would make moving distances through the nether pretty OP!
