When attacked for several minutes (Upwards of 30) by a hacker using invis kill aura and rapid bow mods did nothing but tell me to hide in my claim. The mods didn't bother to come investigate or reconcile the damages done. I lost a full set of Iron armor 2 stacks of rail a couple powered rails and a good amount of red stone due to the fact the mods are too good to bother dealing with a person. or even seeing to check if it was a hacker or just some jerk with good gear.
Were you on the Wilderness or Red server? And how do you know the player had hacked? There are multi shot bows in circulation and invisible potions are a thing as far as I know.
Which mods did you speak to? Do you have logs of them saying that? Not much can be done to investigate your issue unless you supply us with information about the situation.
