And chance cards are everywhere, not even expensive. Every pvper carries one
Ive hardly played on Red so take what I say with a grain of salt, but from the few times I’ve been on Red a good majority of the chat is people asking for /seens people. Personally, knowing when someone’s base is going to become available and waiting around takes the fun out of it for me. It seems much more rewarding stumbling across an unclaimed base and being surprised then already knowing and camping out. Just me tho.
I thought you got carlos's chance card, speed compass and protV chestplate with invis on it from a pvp haha
but yea chance cards make things difficult sometimes. I do personally like that there is atleast ways of pvp escape on the server and think there is a place for them, but maybe nerf them a bit. for chance card maybe make jail time ridiculously annoying like an hour or something? having them take you into a small room helped alot cause now if someone chance cards out of pvp you can follow them and still have a chance to yeet them if you make it in time. almost got craving_soda that way once.
Honestly Because Murph made the declaration that Mods can't delete sethomes I feel like more than half of why I made this post is nullified and invis killing might still have a presence going forward. thanks again murph <3
Still disagree on /seens tho :\ now we just waste alot of time checking hundreds of claims instead of like ten that we know are expiring soon.
yeah i only killed him because he pvp logged in jail and i picked up his loot.
btw you cant deal damage in prison even if pvp tagged while entering.
you call it going forward but its more of a lack of knowledge
that was never a change
also working on the card its definatly on the list of shit to nerf
I'll be nerfing some of the crate items like the Chance Time card this week (time permitting) so that they can't be used to escape PVP.
Instead of removing the chance card's ability to insta tp, should increase jailtime or add an interval in which you cannot use it, i.e 24 hours. If you add a time limit it would just turn into a wild token (Unless of course you make it less time than 3 seconds)
To make it a real PVP experience, you would have to start by removing ANY and ALL enhanced gear. PVP is player versus player, not gear versus player. Rewards for PVPing should be titles, items with no battle value, maybe gear that looks special but acts like regular gear. This would also have to include a counter so that you can't just repeat kill the same guy. Actually, that might go along way to stop camp killing.
Also, making the world smaller would go a hell of a long way. What about having a raiding world where at a certain time of day, all players online can get TP'd to another area that has items you can find by raiding server made buildings. Players can battle each other to get cosmetic items. Like special pets, particles, maybe earn diamonds. The chests would have to be randomized though. Maybe not location, but inventory.
Another way to improve PVP would be to removing Mending. Gear is only repairable to a certain point. It forces people into the open to farm more diamonds. You could also add diamonds to a weekly PVP ranking bonuses.
I've homestly forgotten that RED was a PVP server and it's where I played most. The only thing that ever reminds me of the PVP potential is being sent random TPA requests. I know that no PVPer in their right mind would ever agree to having just regular gear. A dude playing 24/7 for three years with OP gear doesn't want their to be a challenge, otherwise he wouldn't use it.
Valid points but there's no way theyd get rid of all enchanted shit. And if they made the world smaller by say 20k what about all the bases beyond that.
I agree. I was just pointing out what PVP should look like, since the OP was complaining about the lack of PVP originality.
pvp on red is fine except for chance cards
why u potato me I HATE YOU
Funniest thing I've seen in a while lmfao. What a schmake
